Luc said:I've got an OLP MM1. When I just got it it was a great guitar, but when I first played a Luke I knew a just HAD to have a real EBMM. Although it's a nice guitar for the money, it's nothing like a real EBMM. I only use it as a backup guitar now or to tune itin another setting.
But I have to admid: I LOVE that blue sprakle! ( I believe the MM1 isn't available in that color in the US)

Pktaske said:I got an OLP....I sanded off the headstock to a blank and threw some satin laquer on it...the nut buzzes like a bumble bee on the e and b strings...have to replace it. Volume pot is also starting to get some dead spots in it. But dollar for dollar it's a great buy...but what isn't these days? I just picked up a quilted Schecter PT Custom (wanted something with a Les Paul scale) for ~$300. Quality hardware and binding up the ying yang. These Korean guitars are sick. Hard to bring your home grown (USA) $1200+ axe out to gig every weekend when it's one mistake away from gettin' bashed, smashed or wacked.
That being said, EB's play like silk and sound great. Whether it's worth an extra grand is up to the individual.
