Hey guys. Well, the time has finally come. After much thought, I have decided to sell my MMJP6. This is not a decision I have made lightly. I have enjoyed this guitar immensly, but several changing factors in my life have brought me to my decision. My wife and I recently got married this year, and we are putting money towards a new car and a new home. My band also recently decided to call it a day. So, right now, playing guitar just isn't much of a priority in my life. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the playability and craftsmenship of these instruments. I just basically have more important matters in my life right now. I figured I would post this here first, before going to ebay. I would prefer that it stay in the family.

The guitar is in mint condition, with absolutly no chips, dings, cracks, buckle rash, etc. The color is carbon blue pearl, and fully loaded. It has been kept in a temperature controlled enviorment, and was recently set up by Pete Dubaldo just over the summer. It has not left it's case since. I'm sure Pete would be more then happy to speak about the pristine condition of this instrument.

I will mention that there obviously is some minimal fretware, but be assured that there are atill many happy years of playing left on this guitar.

Asking Price: $1300.00 + shipping

Method of payment: Paypal

Here are a few Pics which speak well for the condition of the guitar. I will also send buyer a few pics once the guitar is shipped to show the condiion in which the guitar was shipped. Shipping and insurance are the resposibility of the buyer. All sales are final. Lower 48 states only.

Just a thought...

Why not sell the Ibanez and Fender you have, and keep the JP6 instead? It is more than versatile enough to cover every area that the other two guitars do (minus that pesky seventh string)...

That way, you can still keep the JP6, but also get money for your life! Everyone wins this way! I know that you'll regret selling it, but those other two would be involve much less regret!

When or if you start a new band, or just get a hankering to play guitar again, will anything fill that want better than your JP6? I somehow doubt it. You should think about the future of your guitar playing as well. It may not stand up as much of a priority for now, but down the road... you don't want to have to drop 1700 on a brand new one after selling this one. I'll warmly quote a song from the 70's to illustrate my point:

"If you can't be with the one you love honey, love the one you're with!" The guitar is with you now, and all never asks for much. A setup here and there, some new strings when you've played the hell out of the old ones. Rethink your plans on selling, mate. Rethink rethink rethink!

Just a thought anyways...

I feel for ya. Me and my Missus had a baby boy back in March :). Along with the fact that we already have a 2 year old, we're saving for a house and a wedding things are a bit strapped at the mo. But I know she'd never want me to sell my JP6. If it really came to it and there was no food in for the kids and we were facing a huge struggle then yea, maybe I'd consider selling it. But with huge regret.

But I've known of a few people who have sold precious items with huge amounts of sentimental value for love and familys sake. And most of them now have bought back a newer version of whatever it was they sold. An MG in one case. So I guess it all gives up it's own kind of positive Karma.

I'm sure in months or years to come you'll be able to go and get the latest Ltd Ed MM because things will be better. I'm a firm believer in what goes around comes around.

If you're actually going to go through with your plans of selling your guitar, why not try to add a type of pawn shop clause to it; in which you can buy the guitar back sometime in the future if you so choose? I bought a dude's drums a few years ago not even having played drums. He needed the bling, so I paid him for them and had them sit in my garage for two years. Then he bought them back and was the happiest cat alive.

That way you can feed the fam for the time-being, but know that you can get back that very special long-necked member of the family when you think the monetary situation has relatively resolved itself. :D

Yeah, that's a very good idea. My cousin was in a bind and needed cash fast. He sold me his $1000 for $500, but I always felt for him. I told him that if he ever wanted it back that I would sell it back to him no questions asked. I also told him that if there ever came a time that I had to absolutely had to sell it, he'd be the first person I'd offer it to.
If BP sells his Rosewood Silo, then that would be the time.
