I'm having an Al built right now, in fender sonic blue finish, tort shell pickguard, ROSEWOOD neck, and the same pickups that come in the Axis SS (but white, instead of zebra). EB makes dreams come true! Built to play like the perfect, practical guitar that it is, but look like Kurt Cobain and Rivers Cuomo's Fenders. 1994 all over again.

I am putting in a SD Jeff Beck Junior stacked single in my Al BFR as soon as my pickgurads come in from Chandler.I have also tried the Little 59 and it is good too.Plus the bonus is no routing.The only single coil to sound ok in a bridge position stock is Noisless Fender series the same that i used in the Jeff Beck Artist model of Strat.....otherwisw try the JB JR or Little 59.

is that an EBMM production or are you having a luthier doing your own spec ?

You Aren't by Chance the "Nick Danger" touring band are you? i remember a great band from the 80's and 90's named Nick Danger and never missed a show when they came to town.

With out routing, lots of ptions some better than others, Beej is right about the BL, or just get an MM-90 AL can get alot of crunch out of those babies.

How about a stacked single? Or noiseless? Saves you routing.

i'm about to test a Pro Track in the neck and a Air Norton S in the bridge of a Silo Spec to see how much madness I can squeeze out of it.

Edit: Google search I found this. Senor DuBaldo's BD AL.

I need to drag that badboy out to another gig, possibly on the 19th. Lately it has been the Gold Roller or the BFR AL filling the #2 slot. I've been toying with swapping out the bridge pickup in the Blue Dawn for something a bit hotter, maybe the D-sonic, original JP6 bridge pickup, or a Rio Grande that I got from Tommy. I've got too many choices in my extra parts bin!

MM is making this for me in their shop. I'm trying to convince them to offer all of these options on the Al, because the body shape is so awesome, and I'm a dual humbucker/rosewood fretboard guy. Just got a picture of the body all painted up today! Check it. I'm definitely gonna try to get another one of these, maybe in sunburst with a tort shell pickguard, a-la old jaguars.

thanks! been awhile but I'm getting stoked about gear again. and that video you posted.. wow, haven't seen that in awhile. i think i was 17 or 18 in that thing! 22 now. big whoop.

been playing MM guitars for around 6 years now.. i'm starting to annoy them with all kinds of ideas I have. I'm honestly surprised they went for my sonic blue dual hum AL idea. next stop: oversized headstocks. bad idea?
