A used guitar store has a U.S.A built SUB guitar here for $400. I am not familiar with these guitars and wondering if anyone has any info. It is all black with a black finished neck with two humbucker pickups.
Are these desirable? I have it on hold for me but wont be able to play it for a few days. Thanks.

Depending on the condition, that's not bad at all. I love the SUB series of guitars! I wish they still made them! They are AWESOME guitars! I find them desirable... that's just one opinion though! In my opinion,They are matte silhouette specials with humbuckers!

That's what I paid for mine about 4 years ago. Black HH with trem. I went a little crazy with the mods. It's now got all silo spec pickups and silent circuit in HSS with different pg, refinished, paint removed from neck and tru oil'd....bla bla bla.....:)

Modding my matte black HH at the moment. I'm the only owner so I always knew how good these models were. Manufactured in the same plant as the top-of-the-line models, but made with reduced man hours as opposed to material quality. Some good SUB mod threads if you look em up.

Hello

The SUB is a great guitar. The SUBOC can give you some information on this mighty beast.
Personally, I recently put some Morse pickups and I am very happy with the result.
The SUB is a light guitar, the hardware is top quality (tuners, tremolo ...) and the neck is great like all MM necks.
For 400$, if the guitar is in a good shape, do not hesitate.
