broke a string for the first time in a couple of years but it was on a set of 9's on one of my Luke's. All my other guitars have 10's (except for the other Luke) and I haven't broken one on a set of 10's in a couple years probably.
My question, do any of you guys put 10's on your Luke?
Did you have to file the nut slots?
Any change in tone and playability? (I know there'll be a little probably)
I also know I'll have to set the intonation but that's a no brainer for me.
I love the 9's on the Lukes as they feel super 'slinky' compared to 10's on my other guitars but breaking strings live is no good...
I think I'm used to the 10's and might have been a little 'heavy handed' that night but I don't know...
