I went direct into my amp, and the signal distortion isn't there. It has to be the pedal. Is there any remedy for this? I have turned down the master output, I still hear a distortion when I hit my E and B on my Bongo.
I understand it's a strong pre-amp, but I would think that Zoom would have made something that could handle 18volt pickups.
I have tried with eq, dropping bass, but I don't see the point of playing through it if I can't have BASS in my mix, lol...... kinda pissed about it

It isn't that it is a strong preamp (because it is) you can't treat the volume knob like a passive bass and open it up full. You have to treat it like a line level. I have a basspod ex and it clips it if it is opened up - usually I have it in the 60-75% range and everything is fine

The problem doesn't occurr if you use your effect pedal through the effects loop send/return (provided your amp has one) rather than in line, i.e. bass / pedal / amp.

Problem solved

What about if you are going direct? I used my B9.1ut yesterday with 1/4" as well as XLR just to trouble shoot. Both of them into the board, and into a powered QSC no **** P.A..
For my SWR, I would go into the effects loop in the back and from what you say, that will work, but if I just want to go direct with this pedal, there's no pad dial on the back of it, just a 10db drop. I am calling Zoom anyways, but I appreciate any and all info from you two and anyone else who chimes in.... thanks everyone!
