I'd just rather drop the cash for a hard tail guitar rather than install a Tremol-no...but then I'm 3 cans short of a 6-pack. A.K.A Dizzy's waiting room.

Your local guitar shop probably has them.....or maybe a local gtr tech.

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking, my luthier usually gives me what ever little parts I ask for free of charge. I'm not sure what happens to my brain some days.

I actually just looked in MY parts drawer. Found a single pickup spring. Looks like one of the ones that comes with EMG pickups.

I have a Tremol-No on my Silo. I keep the trem locked all the time. Neat little gizmo actually. They have a few versions of the T-No. One of them is made for EBMM style guitars. I installed it myself. it was pretty easy to install. Just make sure you install it EXACTLY right. If you dont it doesnt work very well. There are a few youtube videos that cover how to install it.

I installed one a couple weeks ago and I'm very impressed with it. It's important to fine tune it, centering the claw and getting the right *light* tension on the clamp to the block. If there's any play in it at all, it won't lock up in the same pitch. If it's too tight, the pin can snap off. But when it's set up right, it's transparent to use. Don't even notice it's there.

The only change I'd like to see are captured thumb screws, so they can't fall off. When in full trem mode, two them are loose, and it wouldn't be difficult for any of them to fall off. I bought spares.

I've learned that decking a trem bridge doesn't always produce the best sound/sustain or string feel (as I'd previously thought), and that locking it where it would be properly floating can improve things overall. For this, the Tremol-No works great.

I've been curious about these as well. My band plays a few songs in drop D. Might want to put one on a Luke I have on order.

thanks for all the input.

I tried the TN in another ax today and noticed that it robs a good bit of chime, most likely a result of the heavy claw. Tried the ax that it came out of and it got its chime back. It does add a little sustain though, so it's a bit of trade off. I think it's coming out of mine.
