Anyone wanna swap pickguards? (UK)

Aloha,

Seemingly can't seem to find anywhere in the UK that does MM scratchplates, so was just wondering if anyone fancies a bit of an identity change (like myself) and wants to trade pickguards?

I'm after a black one for my silhouette, in trade for my HSH white 3ply:

EDIT: I do have a white HH silhouette p/g too lying about somewhere too that I could let go.. forgot about it because I haven't seen it in a while!

From what I can remember from talking to fellow EBMM-ling's in the UK it seems the best place to get pickguards from is actually getting them ordered online from the states - just looking for more domestic options, I'll give them a go though, and order from over the pond if nothing else turns up.

What color is that? It looks kinda cool.

Truth be told - I can't remember! My camera is fudged else I'd get some piccies taken of it otherwise. It gleams an absolutely gorgeous turquoise colour under light/natural sunlight/stage light but looks pretty dark in normal room lighting - I can't remember the name of the colour but it's one that has apparantly come out a bit more blue than most, according to the folks at EB a couple of years ago.

P.S. what kind of stuff are you into skabassist? I've been playing in ska/punk bands for the last god knows how many years, I've had my fair share anyway, check out www.myspace.com/bigjesse for some 'tunes from the band I played last in, I only like "Dave's Song" and maybe "This Xmas" out of those songs we recorded - for a multitude of reasons. Excuse the uninspiring and out of tune playing in some accounts though - I won't name names as not to offend one day when someone gets trigger happy with google..

Had a really nice chat with Nick from Strings&Things over the phone, absolute top bloke - am definitely gonna have to make it along to the Birmingham Guitar Show in November.

One's ordered and inc. and should be with me by a fair few weeks from now, but I can wait.

And yeah larry - the strings. I've ALWAYS tried to get along with EB strings, but never could. When I first started playing I had little clue who EB actually are, but admired the fact that they're generous giving strings to touring/working bands. Even after then buying two MM guitars though, the strings still don't like me. There must be something really wierd to do with my sweat or something - any EB strings actually last literally minutes before breaking at the saddles at the bridge.
