Flamed Maple is something I think they'll always have, did you mean flamed Koa? :p

I love the Koa tops, most beautiful there is IMO.
But what about the tone? What's the tone-qualities of the Mahogany compared to the Alder and Basswood? :)

It sounds a lot more full, especially the Piezo. It just sounds like a beautiful full wall of sound.
Tone it down a little bit and you get the Alder body w/Mahogany tone block.
Then even more so you'll get the Basswood.
I find at least.

Another thing though, I've heard that the golden stuff on the hardware can wear off, is this true?
