We use gig bags to throw all the instruments around in during the NAMM show - haven't ever had a problem. Gig bags are reasonably priced, even in Canada!
I like mine for taking my guitar places locally. They're more convenient and much easier than the cases. If I was gigging with them that would be something else though... If it's going to be with me at all times, the gig bag is the way to go.
In fact I like mine so much that I'm bringing it to Desert Domination, empty, and if "things" work out it could come back with something inside of it.![]()
By the way, is it possible in any way that a new Ball could have come with an EB gigbag and no hardcase? The '99 (I think) Silo Spec. in my signature arrived that way, just wondering if the original owner had switched to the bag or if it came like that from the factory.
