Are 30ths louder than other Stingrays?

I just got a SR5 H/S and it isn't as loud as my 30th(when plugged into my amp). Why is that? Also, should all the magnets be at the same height? On my 30th they increase going towards the middle strings and decrease as they go out. On the SR5 they are all the same height. I did buy it used, so he may have set it up himself.

30ths aren't louder than other SR4s. But generally I've found that SR4s are louder than SR5s.

This is normal, it's how they are set from the factory. No worries

my 30th stingray is louder than my 2band stingray
but i guess its a preamp thing.

Even if they are, it doesn't matter to me since I don't run any of my Musicmans-new or old-with the volume knob wide open anyway.
