Are air pockets bad????

I think its what its called...

well i got my Y2D a few month ago, but did not mention that there was an air pocket by the neck, will it get bigger??? any helpful info would be great....:)

there are some quality issues, but i don't really want to mention them here, the guitar plays like no other, sounds the best! but i wish some things were not, when there are some problems... not with playing but with the look.

G-man,

Maybe I'm missing something???

Do you mean an air pocket "under" the paint on the body near the neck?? Or do you mean an air pocket (space) between the neck and the body?

If it's the "paint" issue, do you think it may burst or pop?

Just checkin", cause I really didn't see anything in the pic.

19 to the 21'st fret ending at the pickguard its a bubble sort of but it does not seem like its going to pop, but its makes this sticky sound When I put a little bit of pressure, i have some of them like on my blue morse, but i hope my y2d's don't get any bigger, oh and underneath the pickguard is another problem, the scews, im not sure but around the screws when i got it and still, it has a purple rings around it(paint) im not that worried about that other then the air pocket thing.

the thought of The Bubble/air pocket becoming terrible is gona stick to me for a while, cause i worked very hard for this guitar I cant stand something worse appearing on it.

well here another thing about the screws i was talking about too.... near the five way switch, the screws that hold the pickguard in place you can see these purple rings, is that normal? same thing when i got it the first day...

Okay, I see what you mean. If that's a bubble under the finish then you should call CS and get their opinion on this.

The circles under the pickguard are normal, though. That's just the air gap between finish and plastic.

Come on you know better...If you think you have a problem all you read about is how we will take care of you.....posting innuendo is junk.

the "purple rings are probably where someone in a store or the end user over tightened the scfrews on the pickguard. If you have de lamination we will fix it but golly give us a chance before you post like this.

I also honestly did not think it was a "repair" problem!!

I thought it was more of just a "dang" what is that (with more of a "feedback" gathering from other guitarists).

Sorry I commented for explanation, but I just couldn't see anything.:)

make sure it's not simply sweat or moisture under the pickguard. i've seen that happen..........& it looked alot like that. i'm not assumeing you took the pickguard off to check that.
also..
if you do take the pickguard off be very carefull not to pull upward too much to clear the clear tubing on the single coil. it's a real tight fit. it can crack at the screw hole if you pull up only from the outside edges.
how do i know this ????
:(

wow i have not done anything to my guitar like take remove or do anything to it, i would like to drop this subject cause i contacted Support to see what the options are and im waiting for a reply, i don't want to be rude in any way but i think i stated this was what it was like when i first got it, i should of commented about it or called cs before therefor i regret now not doing.... but i hope i can get this thing fixed..... no balls no guitar playing lol :) I feel even more fishy about musicians friend cause the date of purchase i state on the ernie ball site to register my y2d is invalid...
