Are MusicMan necks interchangable?

I know this sounds kind of weird, but does any of you guys know, whether you can swap necks between models or whether every neck has different dimensions at the heel. Can you e.g. put an Axis neck on an Albert Lee or a Silhouette neck on a JP?

I would assume that you can do it. I've actually heard of it being done before. If I remember correctly, I think someone on here swapped a Luke neck for an ASS neck.

Nope. I think the Silo Special/Axis/Luke/AL necks can be switched between each other, but no other models can.

assuming the neck fits , 22 fret necks can be switched w/ other 22. 24 frets switched w/ other 24. Im thinking White JP w/ maple Silo neck matching headstock..

Well, they kinda should be, especially those that have approximately the same width at the neck joint. However, I don't believe a Petrucci neck would effortlessly fit a silo, 'cause there the dimensions should be too diferent.

What should deffinitely be a problem is a neck swap between a silo and Bongo 6 (hey, even Bongo 5 would make some trouble, I believe)

That was me.

The Luke and Axis both have smaller neck pockets, they're interchangeable. The other 22 fret necks are a little wider in the pocket. You could swap them but might need to shim the gap. No idea about the Petrucci and the Silhouette. But the specs page should tell you the heel width, and you could go from there.

I was thinking Petrucci with maple Silo neck as well... If it can be done, that is... Just checked: the JP neck sadly is wider at the heel than the Slio - I just thought I'd found a shortcut to getting almost exactly what I wanted
