Are threads being deleted?

Are threads about EVH automatically being deleted, now. I had one started yesterday or the day before(can't remember) and a few people had replied and now it's disappeared. Was it deleted or is it floating somewhere in internet land.

Just curious. Don't want to be stepping on any toes, here.

From what I've noticed, EVH threads get deleted.

Must be some bad blood. Hopefully, there's an explaination.

I think you'll find the reason has to to do with this being a forum about Ernie Ball products, not EVH rumors. Yes EB did have an association with EVH, and any questions asked about those instruments are answered or have already been asked. BP has repeatedly asked us to give the other EVH stuff a rest.

Nope... not automatically. I actually deleted that thread - but don't worry, you didn't do anything wrong. I'll try and explain the reasons why i gave that specific thread the boot:

1) Usually threads about EVH end up getting pretty bad. People start bashing, things come up, dead horses are killed again etc.

2) it was an EVH thread and the subject of porn was involved. not that porn is bad... but it had potential to make the bashing in #1 even worse than normal

3) it was posted on a friday night (almost 5pm pst).

so to sum up... the thread had potential to get bad since historically evh threads do and it was posted at a day/time that I knew I personally wouldnt be near a computer to keep an eye on it. So i made the preemptive strike. Obviously if BP thinks i was wrong and wants it back ill "un-delete" it.

I think in general threads about the EVH guitars are cool: "hey look what i got" or "nice evh on ebay" etc. Those threads are about a MusicMan instrument... that's what this forum is for. But this is not the right place for general discussion/gossip about EVH the person, especially given the history (both on the forum thread front and the EVH/MM business front).

So - no wories here... I meant no offense toward you personally when i canned that thread.

Thanks for the explanation Phatduckk. I assumed it was deleted. It's too bad it couldn't have been locked, instead. Just so I know I'm not going crazy. Your reasons are totally legit. So no worries there.

I know the EVH threads do tend to get out of hand. I was just curious to see the direction it would have gone in.

It's too bad another forum called General Discussion couldn't be added so we could talk about anything and everything. I know there's one for General Discussion Music, but there should be one for all topics.

Guys this is our forum. EVH has several. If yoiu want to talk abaout guitars and evh guitars thats fine just historically the threads are all the same and a waste of MY bandwidth. There are hundreds of threads regarding EVH..its a dead horrse its 2006..
