Aloha Guys and Gals,
So it's been a whole years since I've called up my Artist Relations guy and ordered up a guitar. Ive been going through some tribulations. First of all I was so busy recording my new album (Blues Album), it was supposed to be recorded and produced by 7 time Grammy award winning produced "Steve Thompson" who's worked with everyone from Guns N' Roses to Bowie and sold over 300 Million albums, he's also a client of my manager but we just didn't have the time and budget to make it happen with him all the way in Boston and myself in Hawaii. I would've travelled to record but I have a fully loaded recording studio at my home so we would've have him come here and just stay with me but it just didn't happen. I ended self producing the album from
Top to Bottom in my own studio (Groove Plant Hawaii) with the only guest appearance was my 15 (16 in May) year old son on a few drum track. He's phenom for only playing for 3 1/2 years. Purely amazing! Locks in to a click like a machine. Anyways, 2016 was harsh I lost three aunts, 2 close friends and father's health was in bad shape, My father ended up in the hospital's ICU for two weeks again with a tiny case of sepsis, I thank god that it wasn't as bad as it could've gotten. He already had a a major heart attack January of 2015 at which time they had to medically transfer him to Oahu (the main island) to be in a better hospital. Being a retired marine and Vietnam vet he was taken in at the Military hospital. And thank god they did cause because they found one artery to be almost 100% clogged with the rest being ok. They installed a stent but with more problems 2 weeks before Namm (Jan 2016) they ended ended putting a defibrillator inside of his chest. So with that happening I decided to take 2016 as building gear and spend more time at him Instead of hotels and airports. So Financially I took a huge blow so I had to slow down my obsession with guitars, So the Cutlass was my only purchase for 2016 and also 2 guitars from SBMM a Cutlass and StingRay. So after always relying on my Gibson and piped up epiphone Les Paul's I finally decided that I needed to inquire about a Armada. I notice on MM website there are I my two finish options. Does anyone know if they're still doing the one I have pictured on the bottom. I guess I could ask my AR Rep but I figured y'all would know also. I'm hoping I'll be able to get one this year. As for the new album, I'm still waiting on my manager to not be so busy so we can start working on the business end. He was one of the original managers of GNR for 17 years so he's always doing something, the album has 10 original songs that also includes the "FlyAway" song I recently released the music video for. The album is a cross between Jonny Lang, Gary Clark Jr. And John Mayer trio. I am dedicating to few ppl who passed recently that was a huge Inspiration in my life and music, one of which is my dear friend, menor and big brother figure Sherwood Ball. Ernie Ball's eldest son I think he was. Anyways if anyone know if this finish (below) is still available please lmk. So sorry for the long novel I wrote y'all but I like to be thorough when telling y'all something. So yea! Much aloha
