On a rare gigless Friday night, I get to hang with my two favorite peeps and have one heck of a bass jam. I can't quite swing EBMM basses for everyone yet but the young man to my left is really becoming quite the player and has fallen in love with dad's Stingray 4. Of all the basses he has seen in his short life, this is the one he asks me if he can play nearly every day. The bass he is playing is his but I think we may be on our way to converting him. "Robin" sitting to my right is just starting out so he has inherited a piece of dad's nostalgia and a strong back if he is lucky. :)

Cool pic. The geddy lee is a great bass, but I can understand wanting a stingray! That's the situation i'm in now!

"Daddy....where do all your basses go when they die?"

Well the answer to that, son, is that this guy named Jack gets them... plays with their souls for a while and then recycles (reincarnates) them to someone else - those people are called Knuckleheads

Cool pic - my youngest is a small-framed eight-year-old who "can't wait to play bass like Daddy!"

Enjoy every minute of it!

Cool pics man. I love it when my daughter listens to me play....

She did pick up a guitar at the Warped Tour but was not interested.

She is learning drums and is not bad. She practices everyday before school, then after school. At 11 years old, she has given up about 2 hours of cartoon time to practice. Makes me proud....even if she wants to become a drummer! ;)

That's so cool that you can spend quality time with the boys and teach them a trade they can use the rest of their lives. Best of luck to you and your family.

That's great, Scott! I hope my 2 daughters become interested in music when they're older. Actually, my 2.5-year-old loves strumming her toy guitar, and she can identify all the parts on my basses. I think she'll be fine!

Cool pic!

My 9 year old is taking guitar leasons but picks up my SUB 4 every chance he gets. I think he will soon cross to the dark side!

Also, I had my 11 year old's entire hockey team (I am the coach) and parents over for a party on Saturday night and spent a good amount of time jamming with one of the players that is an amazing guitarist for his age. Nothing like playing AC/DC, Pink Floyd and Skynard with little kids. What a blast in a Rock School kinds way.:)
