I once read a long article online that explained the whole conception, designing of the Bongo. It was long, informative..

That finally did it. Now I have to get one.

One of the things that did it for me was the Guitar Center video that BP did explaining the Bongo conception and design, he basically sold the Bongo to me with just that video. I didn't even go out and play one, I just went ahead and bought one online and knew it was going to be great.

I have played on a Bongo, but the action seemed over the top high. Is that a reflection of the instrument in general, or is it a case of the bass I played needing a good set up?

I love the name Bongo. It's odd that a name for another instrument can fit this bass so well. I think its a very cool name.
