 I haven't seen any haters in this thread regarding the Artisan Majesty yet. In fact, I think this is the most successful teaser EBMM has ever pulled off

+1

I don't see venom being spewed by any means. Pretty cool new look to a sleek guitar. Good luck with the new options!

89 posts before someone has to stick their foot in their mouth is still pretty good BP. Thanks again for the share. Guess we are now waiting until NAMM....

BP, thanks (again) for sharing. Making new stuff is where it is at. The Armada didn't grab me I first. Now I own one, and it is fabulous. Love it when you share new stuff. Love seeing the process. Totally appreciate it. Thanks!

True, sometimes a design takes a while to grow on you. I wasn't in love with the EVH/axis, Albert Lee or Silo Spec when I first saw them. Now look... Reflex and an Armada are on the list now as well

I can tell you that the Majesty is very close to the most successful product introduction in our history.

That's actually awesome to hear.

I cant focus on the haters.

Nor should you. I think what I have found out is the guitar community has some things in common with the gaming community. There is a small, yet VERY vocal minority who hate on things just for its own sake. Meanwhile, the rest of us are quietly buying your products and getting immense joy out of them.

Keep up the good work. I hope the Majesty is wildly successful in both its painted and non-painted forms. That way, EBMM will stay motivated to push the envelope of what a guitar can be.

Guess I'm gonna be the odd man out on this one. It took a few days to gather my thoughts after the teaser, but here we go.

Before I start, I am a big fan of the Majesty. 6 string Polar Noir is sitting downstairs as I type this.

JP said on the official reveal video that they were going for a "race car" look. I really felt that vibe as I looked at the guitar.

The artisan look seems to contradict this aesthetic paradigm. I don't dislike it, but I don't like it either.

Its funny how polarizing the Majesty is. On another forum, people who really hated the "shovel" seem to really love this artisan version. The "shovel" never bothered me personally. It seems to me, the "shovel" is still there, but instead of a faux carbon fiber, it's now showing up as a wood grain.

I hope this artisan version is a success. It is enjoyable to see innovation get rewarded.

For myself, BP is still gonna get more money out of me. My Majesty needs a 7-string sibling. I'm hoping that Royal Purple they did for the Arlington show becomes an option. Otherwise, it's going to be an Arctic Dream.

I suppose I can't complain that the Majesty is not available Left-Handed if I don't voice my opinion about it.

However, if it were available Lefty, I would own one by now, and after seeing this Artisan Series, I would probably own two...

Okay I believe I have been out of the loop longer than I thought. Before my hiatus JP had a proto that was coming out called The Stallion, did a name change happen and that guitar wind up being The Artisan when all was done? I just had to go Googling around to find out about the guitar and see it is a new model for JP and a very cool one at that (with all the new features). After reading this whole thread I honestly did not see anything said that was harsh to stir the pot up. I totally love the new finish and look on the Artisan but then again I am 53 and this stage prefer guitars with a finish like that, as well as always being a lover of heavily figured tops and necks going back a couple of decades lol. I get that this may not appeal to a young guy playing in a Metal band, on the flipside he has to understand that the company wants to hit as many corners of their market as possible and a lot of older players I know have JP's as their #1 and I know they would be all over this. Looking at the 5 finishes that are offered before this one they all scream Metal/Prog and I only now a handful of guys who own 5 models of the same guitar. Being in the vast minority since I own 8 EBMM guitars and the only one I don't love to death is my JP-6 which is their biggest seller and the only reason for that is the neck. To cut to the chase I bought the guitar years ago from an online store after reading a ton of killer reviews on it and this was before EB hooked up with GC and most models were not easy to go and checkout, even here in NYC. I just am not a fan of shredder necks and need some chunk to hold in my hands and everything else about the guitar smoked. For some reason I could of traded it 10 times over but I still have it and break it out now and then, as it is no one trick pony. The only guitars that peak my interest are EBMM and Fender and you have to hand it to EBMM for always pushing the envelope, as well as always coming up with a few specialties for the die hards as well as all players every year. On a side note BP I know how passionate and involved you get at work, but if you ever saw thread after thread on The GP ripping up Henry J and calling for his head at Gibson, for (as his die hards call) all his Star Trek and Star Wars futuristic nuttiness he is putting on Gibson's, you would laugh this off. By the way the guitar smokes!

I really don't count someone saying this guitar is not their cup of tea is the same as sticking their foot in their mouth compared to the type of flaming and bull****ting that has happened during previous teasers.. On top of that, bhulls post was actually pretty constructive, IMO, and it was hardly "venomous" or "hater". But perhaps that's just me :)

You forgot the third group - those of us who play guitar AND look at pictures of EBMM guitars on the internet. :)

hahaha - I just did a search and those are just awful. And, I love Star Trek. My barber gave me the
"Captain Kirk" yesterday. He always jokes about me needing a yellow v neck shirt.

As a guitar player for 20 years, 10 of them being a pro, 7 of them owning one MM JP6, and having one guitar of fender gibson PRS warmoth and several others.

I have to say that is the most amazing guitar, functionally and visually, since the stratocaster.

Too bad i will never be able to afford one :(

Thanks for that.

I'm curious what part of my post Stratty316 has a problem with.

Hello Big Poppa,

Just wanted to send you a big "THANK YOU" from Europe.

I began playing MM 8 months ago. I've sold all my other guitars since then.

Currently own 3, 4th one( pdn 2014 albert lee) is on its way, on a boat, somewhere in the atlantic ocean...

Thanks to you, your guitars and everyone at your company I've re-discovered HOW FUN it is to play the guitar! I feel just like when I bought my first axe twenty years ago.

Majesty will certainly be the next one! I just love that "not so metal" look on the artisan.

Thanks for your never ending quest to guitar evolution and therefore exposing yourself to criticism.

I guess it 'd be far easier to produce guitars "just like we did before".

At least there is 'some' type of reaction. I would be worried if there was no hype, negative or positive. After being in the sports entertainment industry for over a decade, I know more than most that if you aren't generating any type of response in what you are putting out there, then there is a problem.

All i can say is, for my part, when I saw this guitar I immediately saw my newly purchased '57 VOS LP heading to the exit to make way for this when they hit the market.

PLUS one for a TRANS purple!

anger and negativity are the unforntuate byproduct of the internet. Im not here near as much....I give information and honest perspective from a life in the business and its not worth it. The amount of venom when we showed this had everybody shook...even JP....everyone but me. Im used to the effects of significant change...I can tell you that the Majesty is very close to the most successful product introduction in our history.

I cant focus on the haters....All we are doing is giving the world another choice...why the venom we didnt take a guitar away to introduce this....we added another selection...if it works for you thanks and it was worth it...if it doesnt work for you why the anger? Are you up-set when a new cereal hits the shelf? Beer? Should we never do anything new?
