Not the best light, but it is quite photogenic anyway... :)

Few days are better than NGD.

I totally dig this guitar.

Sweet! Congrats. I like that Axis, and despite what people were saying about the pickguard I think it looks nice and simple and compliments the binding, pickups, and knob nicely.

I've never seen one with a pickguard like that, I like it. I think the first pic would make a good "Caption this pic" thread.

Thanks all - the neck feels like a well worn pair of jeans - it's been played a lot, and it shows it - it's a good one.

I've told the story before, but I'll rehash it. On paper, from all the specs, I was SURE a JP6 (with maybe a Luke or Morse close behind) was the EBMM guitar for me. Luckily, unlike USA Hamers (my other love), EBMMs are carried in local stores so I went and spent time with a few. After many a back-and-forth, the Axis just called me back to it every time. The neck on the Axis is just a good match for my tastes - something I'd never have guessed.

At first I wasn't sure how I felt about the pickguard, but it grew on me until I just couldn't resist...

It's a good honeymoon so far.
