Well, where do I begin. What follows is a sorry tale of eBay, Paypal, and a journey of many miles TWICE to get my new baby!!!!!

Sorry to Kompressaur.......the Axis had to go mate - but it's gone to a fellow MusicMan lover.........

Anyway - so I swap an EVH / Axis (EVH body + parts with an Axis neck) for a Charvel EVH Art Series as I figure it will be easier/quicker to sell on eBay and my pal really wanted it...... So, the Charvel sells on Ebay - leaving me with enough cash to pay for a spotless MMan Petrucci........So my buyer pays through Paypal and we agree that rather than bother with couriers - I'd drive to 200 miles round trip to do the paypal transaction and leave with the guitar. So I book an afternoon off work and do the drive - get there, try the guitar - fall in love, want to do the deal immediately!

Log onto Paypal.

Paypal won't let me pay. Neither of us can see why.
Get my dads card details. Won't let me pay.
Get my sisters log-in, remove dads card from my account and add to hers...won't let me pay.
Phone my boss to see if I can use the Corporate Card I have - he says no problem - Paypal won't let me.
Try to draw cash on Corporate Card - ATM machine won't let me, so we agree to do deal after seller returns from Spain.

Leave depressed - Go to petrol station. Pay on Corporate Card.
Corporate Card froze due to suspected fraudulent use - spend half hour speaking to banks fraud team.

Get home - log into Paypal. See that funds for some reason are help as 'Pending'
Investigate Ebay and Paypal. As I have 100% positive feedback and the buyer has left poitive feedback regarding the transaction this should not be the case.

Speak to Ebay - no help, they say speak to Paypal.
Speak to Paypal - promise that will be released in 24 hours.....it isn't.
Speak to Paypal - promise that will be released in 24 hours.....it isn't.

Speak to Paypal - am advised that the buyer of the Charvel has not left the right type of positive feedback!!!! Unless he changes it I will have to wait 21 days for funds.

Speak to buyer of Charvel, he is at a loss but takes a look...doesn't know what to do.

Speak to Paypal - promise that will be released in 24 hours.....it isn't.
Speak to Paypal - funds will be released on Friday 17th.

By this time, it's Monday 13th October. i'm now panicking - so ask dad to lend me cash until this has cleared - he agrees.

Drive 200 miles again - and leave with my beautiful JP6.

I hate Paypal.
.......but I have a JP6 again and the world is good, she will be gigged twice this weekend and I can't wait!

....and I need to change my tag (The pic below is a stock one from Google...haven't had time to take a new one - mine'sthe newer one with the Air Norton in the bridge...........).

If misery loves company, PayPal did that to me as well, when I used it to make a purchase through a band's website. In PayPal's world, someone was fraudulently using my credit card, and I had my account suspended for a week while I fought to have it sorted out. Much like "MEGASoft", PayPain wants to rule your world.

Fortunately I had it cleared up prior to my next EBMM purchase, so all was good by then :D.

By the way - nice guitar!

Cheers folks.....

Thanks folks - Literally just got a note from Paypal saying that funds now available so I'm transferring them quick!

Worth all the grief though - my wife has just gone to bed, and as great as she is - I'm staying up for the night, screw my meetings tomorrow! ;o)

Guys - If you're getting a JP model (like all the other Balls) you WILL NOT be disappointed!
