Atreyu's bass player's StingRay

In this months issue of Bass Player, there is an article on Atreyu's bass player, Marc something or other. He's playing a Stingray, from what I can tell, but on the back of teh bass it says "Paul Frank", then underneath it says "...n bass made special for Mark". Does this have something to do with EBMM or what? Anyone know what is says/ means?

Paul Frank's a clothing designer. they may sponsor the band is some way.

im just guessing about the paul frank sponsorship thing but i know one of my friends' bands in in talks with them to get their tour sponsored by them... so i do know they do stuff like that

as far as the custom made thing... me dunno. Brian and/or Derek may see this and chime in about that

Mark has been a Stingray player for the past few years. We started working with him 04 just as they were coming up....In the past couple of years we have made one and two pickup stingrays for him. One of the white basses was damaged after a concert. and to replace we made him a new one with a special graphic to coincide with their new release. The Paul Frank logo was put on after we sent it as they sponsor Mark and the guys...

We will have to ask him as that was put on after we made the bass in a promotion with Paul Frank.
