Hey guys,

Just picked up my Special Order Vintage Sunburst Piezo Luke last night. I want to say a very heartfelt thanks to all those involved in building it and setting it up. So worth the wait.

Played great right out of the box (with a squirt of finger ease as is my habit). Beautiful wood grain on body, stunning and plentiful birdseye, intonation was spot on.

I stayed there an hour playing it along with 2 salesmen I let try it.
One said "This plays so much better than my wolfgang", the other said "Man, this thing blows away the American Strat for the same money". Yeah, duh.

Then my bass player stopped by to admire it, and I must say, it was fun watching him play it. It looks soooo good.

Special thanks goes out to keith f.

Keith

PS Play Ball!

OK, so where are the pics?

I love how the shape of the Luke looks. It just LOOKs like it rocks. Hopefully I can try one out some day.

Thanks to Steve Lukather too.

Too bad more people don't get a chance to play this guitar. It really is among the finest made.

No scanner or digital camera here. Damn, I wish I could post pictures of my Ernie Ball stable of guitars.

If Norm brings a camera to Guitarmagedden, maybe he can snap a shot of my lukes at least and post it.

Sorry:(

Keith,

Use a film camera (if you don't have one you could buy a disposible one). Then have the pictures developed, but instead of getting negatives have them put digital images on a cd. Then you can upload them here and we all can ooohhhh and aaahhhh.

Good luck

Oh yeah, this was really nice to hear...

When I first started playing the LUKE in the store, I was playing all sorts of clean stuff and fiddling with piezo and magnetic coil blended sounds. About 75% of my playing is on clean settings.

But when I hit the distortion channel and started playing a song of mine the sales guy asked "Is that Steve Morse? It sounds like him." :)

It was written just after seeing steve and the dregs play in Jan '03. And I titled it IDOL HANDS. A play on words as the hands are anything but IDLE and it spilled out of me after seeing the most influential guitarist composer in my life. For like the 30th time. Can't get enough of his music.

Our Team ROCKS!!

Thank you so much for the nice words. We have a great team here at Music Man and all truly care about the end product. I have worked at a couple of the major companies out there as well as helped start one and you couldn't ask for a better team of people making guitars. Play her, love her and take care of her and you shall have years of enjoyment!
Peace and all the best!

Congrats Keith,

If I'd ever get a Luke, that'd be the kind I get. Enjoy!
