We will be moving into our lucious, sparkly new manufacturing facility this weekend. As such, we have to move these wonderful servers over there with us. That means, much to your dismay, ernieball.com and it's sub sites will experience about an hour of downtime on Saturday, an hour of downtime on Sunday and some intermittent downtime the rest of the weekend. We are all pretty excited about getting into the new place (well everyone but the monkey who's been here longer than the carpet) and hopefully the server move will go smoothly.

Oh it exists my friend. It's still partially under construction, so I imagine pics wouldn't do it justice. Big P took care of us. This place is pretty nice so far and it's not even done.

Oh I could give you more than a clue, but you'll just have to be surprised. The MusicMan site does need a facelift. EB's artists and the ol' CodeMonkey, we have this one well in hand.

Like Code Monkey said, we DID NOT move Music Man, just the Ernie Ball factory. We were in 2 locations in the desert and we have been consolidated into one happy Ernie Ball family!

You've come a long way, baby

Hey TK, please no worries, I wasn't trying to be grouchy in that last post.

I was going to straighten this out in our next "Ball Street Journal" (company newsletter) and go over the history of our move -- from late 2002 to the present. A short summary:

-October 2002: Ernie Ball moves some string production and some office to Indio, CA (Fleming St. building). New facility plans are set to be in Coachella, CA.

-July 2003: EB sales moves to Indio, CA production location. Things are really cozy for a while until...

-September 2003: EB moves shipping of finished EB goods from San Luis Obispo location to a different building within Indio, CA city limits, about 5 blocks away from production building (Jackson St. building). Sales moves into shipping building.

-September 2003 - present: EB in process of building new facility in Coachella, CA.

-January 2006: New Coachella building finished! WOOO HOOOO!!!

-Weekend of 1/13 - 1/15/06: EB moves all string production from Fleming St. into new Coachella facility.

-Weekend of 1/20 - 1/22/06: NAMM show

-Weekend of 1/27 - 1/28/06: EB moves sales, office, shipping of finished goods into Coachella facility. Fleming St employees see Jackson St. employees that they haven't seen in over 2 years and vice versa. Its like the Brady Bunch!

I am still in awe of how far we've come since 2002 on this project. THANK YOU BP!!! This is the BEST freakin building EVER!!!
