Heya!

I just wanted to give you guys a heads-up and let you know that my band ("Eyestrings") is traveling to Baltimore, MD and going to be playing on Saturday, September 30 at Orion Sound Studios.

If you haven't heard of this venue yet, it's the kind of place that has hosted acts such as "Bruford Levin Upper Extremites (B.L.U.E.)", "Spock's Beard", "Happy The Man", "Mahavishnu Project", "Echolyn", and even "Mike Keneally". Originally, it's a recording studio that the Engineer hosts Progressive Music shows every once in a while on a weekend night, so the sound is awesome and the people are great!

If you need any further information on the venue, check out the web site:

http://www.orionsound.com

I'm posting this here because I am a Music Man Owner and the Ernie Ball community is absolutely great! I've yet to meet someone through email or face-to-face that is involved in this forum who isn't a genuinely cool person.

I hope to see some of you there. It's gonna be a great time!

I just wanted to bump this right quick so that other people could get a chance to take a look at it if they haven't done so, already.

Alan,
Small world... That studio is about 3 miles from me. If we're not away on Saturday I'd probably swing by and check it out. It sounded familiar, but I didn't realize it was that close!!!

Thanks for the heads up.

Fred,

Definately! It's been a couple of years since we last played there, but from what I remember, it's not set up with chairs or very much other sorts of seating, so if you want to sit, you may want to bring a lawn chair. I remember people doing that before. Who knows? Maybe Mike will have obtained seating for people? Probably not, though.

It should be a great show! Hope to see you there, Fred!

Alan,
I'm going to try and make it. My wife and I were talking about either driving out to Deep Creek to look at some property or paint a bedroom. If we head out there we won't get back until midnite or so. I'd like to check it out. I went to their website and it still looks like it's bring your own chair just to be sure.

Is there a cover for the show?

later,
fred

You know, I have no idea. I don't remember if Mike charges a cover or not and if so, how much it would be. If anything, you could try calling him up and finding out. I'm thinking that whatever cover he would charge would be to pay for the facility costs (electricity, equipment use, Sound Guy, etc.), though I could be wrong.
