Gavin,

What's the story on the homemade Stingray that you recently added to your Pic Gallery? I notice he did a string thru and did a nice job, or so it seems. I have seen people's attempts at this before and it ended up a disaster. Did he give you any info on what all he used to make this bass?

No way kind sir ;)

Interesting though as he's not a luthier. As Jon said, people's attempts at this end up a disaster. I bleeb it was an experiment to try his hand at making his own Ray. The body (Ash) and some of the neck is home made. The electronics are from a SUB Bass but don't know about the PUP. He wanted to try a string-through so he made up the bridge from scrap metal plate. He put his name is on the rear of the headstock so it couln't be passed on down the track to the unsuspecting.
