I've been swapping out volume pots in my other guitars (non-EBMM) from linear to audio tapers as it's a personal preference. When I played around with my JPXI, the sweep sounds like an audio taper to me but I'm not sure. I couldn't find any reference to it on the specs so I was wondering if anyone here knows. This is mainly out of curiosity as I like the guitar as is.

Easiest way to figure it out is with an ohm meter. Put it from the wiper to one end of the pot. Turn the pot. If you get a consistant moving of the needle (or numbers increase steadily if digital), it's linear. If it either takes a huge move, then almost nothing.....or almost nothing and then a big jump, it's audio.

I have a pile of both and that's how I separate them, when I forget to mark them.

I don't have one of those. The sweep on my EBMM behaves a bit different from my other pots. It's somewhere between a linear and a Gibson audio taper. Too close for me to tell.
