I received a call from the band i went to see Saturday night and was offered
an audition for this Tusday night as their potential bassist.
My ex leadguitarist is in the band, and he has been telling them about me,
as he knows the problems i've been having with the currant band, so he knew i would likley be wanting a change.
So, it's pretty exciting as the music they play is up my alley, classic rock,
blues, mowtown, and some funk dance stuff.I couldn't stay long as it started
at 9PM and was 45minutes away and had to work the next morning.
The band was pretty tight and got the crowded room going to the dance floor.
The lead female singer is very talented, and not bad to look at either.
The drummer is spot on and a very versital player and a heck of a nice guy.
The other guitarist and vocalist is a pretty techinical player but did'nt get
a chance to chat with him, I got their early and they were having problems with a new board,
so i helped them get it squared away.
Of course i will be bringing 2 balls with me, my SR and Sterling.
I will report back after the audition, hopefully all go's well.
Frank

Thanks guys, no matter how many times i've done this, or played at a new place,
the nerves set in right beforehand.
As long as the drummer and i can gel together and be solid, it will work out.
They are booked every weekend and cutting demo cd's of orginials,it would be a pretty
busy schedule, but as the music whore i am, i would'nt mind it one bit.

Whew..Got home at 12:30AM this morning luckly i did'nt go in to work until 9AM.
It went great, kind of werid though, i didn't get neverous what so ever like i normally
would have.
The notes just flowed out of the EBMM bass, after getting the cord progressions i nailed the songs ive never played before, so.... they have asked me back tonight so they can get geared up for the Fri-Sat. venue at Topaz. After that it looks like i'm in.
The band is called Unusual Suspects, and play in the Northern Nevada (Reno) and
surrounding areas.
Thanks for the support, you guys are great!
