Hello all,

I was reviewing my EBay records last night and made an interesting observation. It has been a little over a year since I sold my last non-MusicMan bass and became a full-blown MusicMan convert. I'll admit that I had my SR4 in my posession since New Year's of '05, but it hardly was used since I was used to the feel of a Fender. I would pull it out when I felt like playing a Sade tune or something...

But it quickly grew on me as it became the only bass I had left at the time (the SR5 would come later); especially during music school. Man, time flies... Not to mention the brief time I had the bass on consignment towards the purchase of a Sadowsky! Man, I'm glad I didn't sell it. :p

Anyway, just thought I'd share...

:D Got mine in 91 and have had it ever since. Have owned Fenders (1 J and 1 P) and Ibanezes (2 soundgears) and sold them. My stingray is gonna end up in a museum or in my coffin with me in 400 years as I plan on living until 428.:D

Joined the 'Stingray club' at the start of this year - I am using the 'Ray for all my live and most of my recording work.
Must post pics - still need to get a digi cam.
I also have a Hohner (Steinberger) headless bass which I use at home and the occasional practice as its light and easy to carry round.
(And no headstock to get in the way - Means I can sit and play away on the couch and not get shouted at by my girlfriend for blocking her view of the telly).:)
And an Aria sb1000 reissue - occasionally use it because its a good looking bass and sounds great, for that particular sb1000 sound.

I think they are old stainless steels, and they actually sound good on the bass. The bass is locked away currently so I won't be changing the strings....

Got my first in '79, the Sabre. Recently sold the ASAT since the StingRay was and still is, getting all the playing time. Looking forward to the DD. In 28 years of playing, the MM basses have gotten 98% of the playing time.
