I have been flooded with requests to come and see the BFR's and we will know have to make appointments to cope. As this is a trade show all the dealers will coming in to do business with CMC. Can you email me (no PM's please) with a time you'd like to come and we'll look after you. Normally these are trade only and not open to the public. Hence the reason I'm not posting the venues on the web. Evening viewings are possible.

OK, the BFR's arrived today. The first city is Brisbane next Monday, Tuesday. Apologies for not giving any info of venues so far. I will respond to everyone emails this week. If you work during the day don't fret (pun not intended) we'll be there until 9pm. Mark Bass products will also be there, as will other CMC products. While your there, try and make the effort to hook up with other forum members, it's not like you be looking at guitars for hours and hours. If you can't get along I will take plenty of photos. Please remember this is normally for dealers only and CMC has been kind enough to allow forum members the opportunity to see them.

BFR stands for Ball Family Reserve, I have a BFR JP7 on order for a fellow forum member who lives in Tasmania. Maybe you can catch up with him when he gets it?

Email sent re Sydney shows.

It's a great idea to invite Knuckleheads to these shows, because the comparatively small volume of EBMM instruments in stock across Australia means that it's not like the US where your local EBMM dealer has 20 different guitars and basses on the wall and you can just walk in off the street and check them out.

For example, when I bought my first Bongo there were only 3 in the country, so there was no ability to go to my local EBMM dealer and try one out. In the end CMC chased around and did the legwork and arranged for a Bongo to get to me via a local dealer.

So, what Colin and CMC are arranging next week seems like a tremendous opportunity for EBMM users to check out the goodies, and is an opportunity that us Downunder don't always have. I bet that many of us have bought our EBMM axes in the past sight unseen.

Are these models on display going to end up being stock at retailers?

(I just want to get one without the wait!)
