I'd order an Axis this time around, but with the CAD so low it ain't gonna happen. Here in Canada, EBMM prices are up about 30% :(

Yep... Very sad for us. And this is the guitar I've been hoping for: JP6 tobacco burst with maple fretboard...

I wish MM would do sound clips with the protos. I'd love a regular JP but I have no idea what its going to sound like with a brighter and crisper wood like alder.

Is there currently anyone who can afford to order one of those?
I was so freakin happy to see this Package, I finally wanted to get me the JP Koa of my Dreams. But the Price over here in Germany is so ridiculous high, I just can't afford it, sadly :(
I'm hoping there will be another similar run next Year. Too Bad for us non EBMM Artists :(

I'm glad I ordered a PDN 2014.
I really do prefer the color, neck and frets...and couldn't afford a 2015 model!!!
Prices just went sky high here in Europe!!! I'll keep on saving though. Maybe a PDN 2016 ;) or the new models!!!

That's because the dollar have increased in value compared to european currencies.. :/
Sucks for us because we won't be buying as often and sucks for EBMM since they won't be selling as much here.

We didn't make a Koa for pictures but if somebody wants to order one we can do it. Maple or rosewood for the fretboard.

is the koa top going to feature a darker shade as opposed to the flamed/quilted maple ones?

This time last year, here in Canada, you could order a loaded JP6 (other than mystic dream) for about $2075 CAD. They are now priced at $2700 CAD. Most of that is due to the drop in value of the CAD.

Hey A.J.,

What's the difference between this Tobacco Burst finish and the normal EBMM Tobacco Burst finish that's offered on most models? What am I missing? Just the alder body and tinted neck, or is something different about the finish?

Hey Jeff,

Differences:
-Middle color is different, we use a vintage tint, compared to trans gold on the standard tobacco burst
-Burst is black for this run instead of dark brown on standard tobacco. It is also thin/tighter/closer to the edge
-All models with binding will have bursted backs, such as Axis ;)

Note: necks are figured maple

This is the JP I was dreaming of... Tobacco burst+maple fretboard!!!

But with 2 rounds of lay-offs lately at the office (luckily I still have a job even if they cut in my weekly hours), I won't make a hole in my budget. Bad timing... :(
