Craig, that's a hot finish, congratulations! And I must say I totally dig the vibe of the polaroid - this bass feels right at home in a slightly gritty, hands-on stage atmosphere! (Am I making sense?)

OMG...

Did I saw the reflex bass?

Ugh, ...hey folks from SLO, there are too much models in offer now, ...I mean reflexes, new Classics, ..Big Als...etc.

It's the real torture to decide what to order! :p

This may be the wrong to place to ask but is the Reflex available with a SLO neck? I was leaning toward a Big Al but after playing my 25th the last few days and then seeing this Monster Truck I am PRAYING that I might be able to get a Gold Reflex 4 HH around 9lbs with a SLO neck... Is such a beast going to be available?

Peace,

T

We had a blast...JOhnny Hiland was playing in one corner with one of our new bass playing artists and a sweet cat named Shawn ...then I took over for a song...The Shawn started a song....it was lasting a long time A beautiful Johnny Hiland Marathon so he handed it off to me.....then I handed it to Craig.....then He handed it back to Shawn...We now have a new sport...bass relay...nobody dropped the baton. After I did my clean handoff Shawn whispered into my ear..."Wow Playing with Hiland I didn't breath the whole time....I couldnt answer him because I was trying to get my oxygen back!

Craig thanks for the kind words...I really love to play and never get to. I was really enjoing the monster truck...the both switches up active/series with the low mid boosted was like thick chocolate.....I way overplayed but I was loving it.....You know what a fart and a bass player have in common? Only the guy dealing them digs em.....

THe funny thing is the first day I played a couple of songs with Johnny and afterwatds he had kind words and I told him that I hadnt played with anyone since the CLB in Jan with him.....I miss it.....I dont know who is going to show up when I play these days...sometimes its pee wee herman

THe show was really a money losing disappointment....but when it turned into a bass love fest I forgot how much money I lost...I guess it is like the high roller in Vegas who loses and then finishes the trip off with a red head with amnesia....klind of forgets for awhile the bad stuff.

I wish I could blame it on the Flood....there was no evidence of any disaster. NAMM ruined it...Nashville was overflowing and successful and they got greedy and moved it to INdy cause they could make a killing there....Nobody came so they moved it to AUstin and it was a two year bust....back to NAshville and then none of the big companies came and so none of the dealers did either

So BP, with Blind Lemon visiting Namm this year, didn't he bring any of his "British Luck"? Did you see him at all? He always makes a killing on the UK shows, he does! (he da man who could sell sand to Arabs! :D :D :D )

Don't worry BP, I plan to do my part and keep putting my money into EB's. That number we spoke of at Anaheim NAMM is up by a couple more now. :D

Yep, dont worry BP, I think your lineup of instruments is stellar! There seems to be a big buzz about the Big Al right now, and its slowly hitting the UK. it will even more when myself and Grand Wazoo get our pics up on the forums here.

PS - Yep, Ive still got three EBMMs incoming. :) The Big Al 5 is now my '30th' birthday present which isnt until March, but I thought Id order now anyway.

I was just surprised to see him playing without the bass laying flat in his lap! Sounds great, and Johnny is a monster as always.

He gets paid by the note.

:D

No BS, Sterling can play rings around most peeps.

I definitely love BP's style that clearly shows his love of playing baritones.

Maybe we should change it from "Real men play 4 strings" to "real men play four strings and use every fret." :D
