So i happened to be in the Atlanta area this today and went into the Guitar Center in Marietta. Low and behold there is a used White (not buttercream) Bongo 5HSp. Used and on clearance it was kinda hard to say no to. Super good price because it was missing a pickguard. Sorry for no pictures but they will be up tomorrow when my wife returns home with my laptop. So anyone have a Bongo 5 HS pickguard laying around? JOSH

You can thank me for that Bongo existing. :D

When I ordered my HSp fretless, GC accidentally ordered it as a fretted. I can't believe it was still there after all this time.

I'd been meaning to go back and see if it was still there, and now I'm glad I didn't. I probably would have bought it, too.

Enjoy it!

Gene Simmons has been known to fondle a Sterling...

Well done on such a rare bass. I bet you were pretty chuffed to come across that...just consider yourself lucky that people who don't read this forum don't know how special these kind of things are.

I wonder if Gene Simmons played it

That was brilliant!

That thing has had more forumite hands on it than a streetwalker. I checked it out back in March when I was in ATL.

I came REAL close to pulling the trigger on it about 3 weeks ago when I was driving back from my daughter's graduation. Just didn't know what I would do with that extra string:cool:. Congratulations on a GREAT score!

Heh. I've come close to buying three or four times--to have it refinished.
