It turns out your Trans Gold Axis w/ tremolo was built on 7/30/98.

Thanks Shaun - when did they start building the Axis - isn't 98 around the the EVH went to the Wofgang ? Is this one of the earlier models?

To be accurate, your best chance is to contact Peavy about the Wolfgang guitars, but I think in 97 it was introduced to the namm show and was available to the market the following year. EVH left MM in 95.
Hope this helps Jim, wish I was more knowledgeable regarding Peavy, but my expertise is with EBMM.
