Question Axis EX Pickups

I just joined here and I was wanting to ask,
Are the pickups on the Japanese assembled Axis EX guitars identical to those on the American Axis and the EVH models? Thanks so much!

Also, are there any tonal differences between the AX and the EVH/Axis?
