Due to an onstage "incident" at last night's awesome (orange themed, bat infested) ROUGH JUSTICE gig I managed to break the tops off all 6 fine tuners on the Floyd of my honeyburst Axis! Any idea where I can get some replacements? Will fine tuners from any Floyd-type trem fit?

I was there. Mike was dressed in Orange from head to toe. He also had just bought a new wireless system. He ran into the other bar, ran back to the stage for the last number, tripped on the front of the stage, landed on his face, but managed to pull the Floyd of one of the pivots and snap all of the fine tuners off! It was so rock and roll I am lost for words! :)

Will they even come out or will they have to be drilled and tapped?

They might have to replace the entire block. I think the fine tuners might be installed in such a way that they can't be backed out and replaced.

Wow, I'd love to see that on video. Tell me there's a YouTube clip of it ...

Call CS next week and ask them about the sizes. I'd wager they're standard Floyd sized, and you can probably get replacements anywhere. If the threads aren't damaged from the fall, you could screw them out and replace with new ones. If they're a non-standard thread I'm sure you can order from Strings & Things or any dealer.

It was a great night! At least there's no damage to the neck or anything important - six new fine tuners and it'll be sorted. And of course I've got four other Axii to see me through in the meantime :D

Tim's description is pretty accurate. It was the end of "Won't Get Fooled Again" and I used the wonder of wireless technology to jump off stage and run into the other bar. The look on peoples faces was great! Then I ran back to the stage and could see our drummer about to do the final crash to end the song. Not wanting to miss it I jumped on the stage and SPLAT - that was the end of 6 fine tuners! Still a great rock'n'roll night and the crowd seemed to like it. And gigging with a bat flying round the room was cool! Roll on next weekend's gig - headlining a seven band line-up to loads of bikers! ROCK!

And there was a giant moth flying in the room that looked like a bat.....

One of you should have bitten the head off it - that would've been rock'n'roll!! :D

Ouch, the accident with the Floyd sounded bad though Mike, for it to rip off the fine tuners! Were you OK?

Yeah - no pain for me, but lots for the Floyd! The stage was only a foot or two high so not too bad. Our next gig has a proper stage so there will be no jumping on and off that time! Although apparently, in a Spinal Tap style, we are going to be support act to a biker's wet t-shirt competition! So I may stay on stage after we've finished to pack up the gear. Not to see the wet t-shirts up close of course, just to make sure my amp doesn't get drenched!

Hey Stoner,

I'll call S&T for you to see if we can source some replacements in the name of ROCK AND ROLL!

Good work sir!
