Hi folks,
Does anyone know if there has ever been (or is) a high quality gig bag designed specifically for the axis? I don't mean a strat/tele bag simply labelled or logoed.
I'm looking for something that specificaly accomodates the unique dimensions of the axis guitar.
Anyone?

Probably a faux pas on this board, but why not check eBay or something for a (shhh) Wolfgang gig bag? It'd probably fit perfectly.

Actually, my son has the W***gang ;) gig bag and it is not a perfect fit (bout 4 floppy inches too tall) It's just a strat bag in disguise.

My understanding is that the original EBMM bags were also fender scale-ie. not a perfect fit.
I really dig the compact size of the axis and was hoping to find a gig bag that fits it like a glove.

It's probably not possible-I've checked Levys, *bay, etc. I was hoping one of you hardcore EBMM'ers might be able to tell me if one of these bags even exists.
Thanks :D

I've got eb gig bags (EB name and logo on pocket) that fit great, felt on inside, and look like they're made for a rifle. Much smaller than normal gig bag and in a triangular shape.

One of them has the zipper going the wrong way though and when the guitar is upright and I open the pocket, everything spills out...picks, strings, rubbers, cleaning sock, picture of heather locklear, beer, tools, pills, needles, Oprah the magazine, lucky rabbits foot, voodoo doll of my evil sister, and a few other things too embarrassing to mention.

Dave,
I'd heard about those bags over on "The Gear Page" and they look really nice. I'm not sure if I want the slim bag or the tour bag version though. Which one do you have?

I love the hard case for protection, but just going out with it sometimes is a pain. The door hook is a neat option for keeping it out of the way.

thanks,
fred

I have the tour bag becasue that's all they offered at the time. It fits a 12" PowerBook like a glove in the computer case section...

It's extremely sturdy and durable, I think it's worth the cash...

Thanks for the info. I was leaning towards the tour bag to be able to pack along the PodXT if needed as well as other odds and ends.

Although not the kinda stuff Keith carries. I taped my picture of Heather Locklear to the inside of my hard case. ;)

Right now I have to carry my hard case and keep everything else, i.e. sheetmusic and other stuff in a nylon briefcase. I'd like to be able to keep everything together, that would be much easier to travel with.

Hmmmm... sounds like the tour bag it is.

thanks,
fred

Yeah, the pocket on the eb bag is too small for more than a few small items. Which does kinda suck. (Gotta put the Oprah magazine behind the guitar :p )

The bag itself is made by Levy's. They were blowing them out at GC for $15 bucks, so I bought a couple.

PS But a year ago at NAMM I picked up a freebee shoulder bag at the Marshall booth that I can throw my POD and other items in.
