i never noticed this until i got my newest axis. the arm and whole floyd seemed so much better. well i picked up one of my older ones and just felt odd. well i took both arms and turned them so they were parallel to the strings and measured. sure enough. the tip of one arm is about 1.5 inches formt he face of the body. the other over 2 inches. now i see why the one is comfortable and easy to play. any idea if there are different arms out there with different angled bends in them that would cause this. any help would be great.

well since i got the new axis with the old evh gotoh i have another of the less angled bars. i tried to ask customer service but they didnt seem to know much about it. apparently they changed the arm angle also. i had brett check his evh's and he came up with the same thing. i love the less angled trem bar cause it sits closer to the body and easier to use. i havent bent my others yet. anyone got any ideas on how ot do this cause i cant find the smaller angled bars anywhere.

Another stickler for the Rosewood BFR I have, the arm on the trem is way high compared to my older Axis'. I wish the older angle was available.

Be careful. I had a Jackson years ago with an OFR. I didn't like the angle and bent it slightly. Ended up cracking the chrome and buying a new bar. I dealt with the angle, though I never liked it.
