I recently played an axis sunburst , and fell in love!! It was like a time machine bringin me back to 1991 when I got my EVH model. I have been searching for my long lost EVH for years, in hopes to buy it back, In the mean time i've been holdin off on buying a new MusicMan to hold on to the money in case I find my old evh. Just wanted put it out there, Music Man guitars are in my opinion the best production guitar I've ever played. That axis is tempting me to go to the shop and take it home, but i've recently went through a bout of GAS, and really need to hold myself back, I don't wanna listen to the wife about it, and I can't lie to her and tell her it was only a couple hundred bucks, The Axis oozes it's 1800 dollar price tag.

GAS can get expensive if not treated early ;-)

Weigh up your guitars on scale of 1 to 10.

- What do you play most often?
- What can you buy again easily down the road?
- Is something you own Collectible?

I agree. Definitely the best production guitars around IMO. I'm still floored by the quality of my Reflex and it's only been a week!

I've only played an EVH for all of 20 minutes. So take my opinion for what it is. But by comparison I've played an Axis and ASS for quite a while and I have to say, aside from the name, the Axis is just a better guitar. I don't say that in an absolute or judgmental kind of way, its just the changes made from the EVH to the Axis are just... well for a lack of better words, just better.

I love my 25th/Reflex. Axis style shape, and same pick ups. BEAST of a guitar. Don't look back!

The Axis is an awesome guitar. I am down to 5 right now, including my BFR. Great tone and feel to it. If you buy it, you will not regret it.

I have always been a Gibson and Fender guy but my Axis ss is now my main guitar, Loads of tone and just plays so well, it covers a strat and gibson sound well. really enjoying my Axis super sport.

I'm contemplating buying it, but I always go back to trying to find my old EVH, for sentimental purposes.
