I'm a fan already, love different maple grains.
But these will definitely be something to buy as seen, rather than just ordering one. They can be either very striking, or not-so-nice.

Personally, I like the, "Roasted Maple" better that BP was playing last month. There is a picture of it somewhere. Not sure if that will be a BFR color or what ever happened with that guitar ???

What I love about EBMM's figured tops, and even more so the spalted tops and RW options that BP and Co. spoil with us is that it helps to remind me that I'm playing a wood instrument.

I lose sight of that sometimes when I play a super sparkly or metallica finish (as awesome as they are.)

There's just something super classy and earth about natural finishes like spalted.

Love it.

I like that, think spalted maple looks good, man I am not a floyd fan at all but thats now 2 Axis that went to Japan only that I would buy flod or not the other was the pinkburst:cool::cool:

Those were specially made for our Japanese distributor Kanda Shokai. The wood was hand picked by them and 4 of their best dealers that traveled to visit the factory in San Luis Obispo. There are 21 Axis guitars and 30 Stingrays in existence. You can only find them in Japan.

Wow! Thanks for the background / history! Were there any Axis Super Sports produced out of the 21 Axis models?
