Axis questions

Hi Guys,

Just a couple of questions for y'all:

1. I love the Axis but not the frets which seem tiny to me. I love fat frets like on my Gibsons. Would it affect the Axis badly to get really fat frets on it?

2. I cannot get the Floyd tension down to a light level without raising the back plate and therefore making it floating. How do I do that?

1. As long as a competent luthier does the fret work, you won't have any problems. Get what you want, there's nothing wrong with that.

2. You have to adjust the spring tension in the back. What size guitar strings are you using? Try using a lighter string gauge. You can also try changing the springs or even removing a spring to change the feel of the trem.

The frets are already pretty tall, so replacing them with wider ones of same height will be pretty smooth and not require a new nut.

Low tension means reducing the number of springs and screw the claw all the way in.
