Axis serial number starting with "A"?

I was looking at a guitar for sale but the seller says the serial number is A80088. That doesn't come up in the SN tool at all. All of my previous Axis models have started with a G....any ideas?

Here's the thing...the headstock is noticeably lighter...like the older blue (like I've owned before) but the body is darker. I am awaiting pictures, but I am concerned there could be some "parts swapping" going on here.

The S/N tool won't have everything. I would email them directly at [email protected] and ask.

My 1997 Axis Sport starts with an A on the serial number. Its not crazy..
