The saddles on my Axis sports are too worn out to be adjusted, and quite rusted too... I have some spare Fender HW1 saddles that'll fit but due to their bent designs I can never get the strings as high as I'd like (I prefer to be able to slide a pinky under the B string).

On my other guitars I use Graphtech saddles but for this one I'm ready to go a little above what I usually do... What are some good saddles for an Axis Sport?

I'm just thinking out loud here :-

Get some larger grub screws for your fender saddles?

I replaced the saddles on one of my Albert Lee guitars with KTS Titanium saddles.

The UK supplier does a better deal than if you import them from the states.

I'll take a look at my e mail archive, find out the UK supplier and edit the post to let you know their name.

Edit

Initially KTS themselves recommended model PR-04

However other members had fitted model PR-17 and that's what I used.

Here's info pasted from an e mail ... ...

you can buy the saddles from our UK dealer WD as well.
Guitar Parts UK - WD Music Guitar Parts and Guitar Spares
We think it might be cheaper than purchasing from us directly.
Also, you can buy from our US site.
KTS Musical Products Inc. official site-Products-

A fellow forumite Tommyindelaware (guitar tech for Steve Morse) recommends them as does Beej

Why not just buy a replacement set of the EBMM vintage saddles? Contact your local distributor or the customer service guys, they can hook you up.

Yeah my sport also has them.

As for local MM distributors... I live in Luxembourg... not any distributors for anything! I'd have to go to Paris, Brussels or maybe Koln/Frankfurt for this... ordering online is the best I could do I think.

Sorry David, say your post after I posted.

I personally prefer the solid saddles.

Pott, do you need a new set of bent saddles? I might have one if you do. Let me know. I think I have a set of black solid ones too.

Well that is cool! I never knew they came with the solid ones before ... that's neat to know. You learn something every day.

Beej, the 3 Axis Sports I have had all had solid saddles. They were late Axis Sports too, 2000-2001.
