The Sports of that model had pickguards on them sorry.

Dudley, BP or maybe Dan could probably comment about the one-offs, though they don't like to talk about them too much.

Haven't heard much from Dudley in a while. Soctt must have him chained in Engineering trying to develop something completely different. :)

Well, for starters, the Axis Sport hasn't been made for years, so they don't make any of those at all, anymore... The pickups do have individual routes though (no swimming pool routes on EBMM guitars!), and there were some Axis Sports shipped with the pickguards uninstalled, so there were no screw holes in the top. I've seen one S/S/S config'd Axis Sport with no pickguard attached, but it was covered in the signatures of some obscure metal band - looked real nice otherwise, though... The Axis Sport never came with a Floyd, only the Axis, and no production Axis with a Maple top ever came with three single coils.

I was just in your same place. I have a Axis SS and was out looking for a back up.....I looked again at everything, even though I have owned a Les Paul, and PRS- I just kept coming back to Ernie (I wonder why I even ever looked elsewhere), anyways I came to my senses and ordered another Axis SS in Black Cherry....you know as they say, good things come to those who wait.

J,
I've been curious about this guitar ever since I read (I think it was Dudley) talking about it in the issue of Guitar World where the did the interview with Eddie where he kind of 'launched' the EVH EBMM to the world.

Don't suppose you've got the picture of it have You ?

If not, Foggy ?

I wonder how many of those guitars Royal Music actually has...there are pages of Axis' & Axis Sports which raises the question, if they are in stock, why so many?

Also there is a 2006 Purple ASS...as far as I know purple was discontinued years ago, certainly not in '06...

Maybe a forumite in NY can give us all the lowdown on the store...

I think that Royal as some many, because they're prices aren't the cheapest. At least that was my experience. They have a lot and that's good for them.

Becareful of the faded purple axis sport it's faded because they left it in the window too long. :)

i got a whole butt load of one off's and stuff i would love to post if i could get the info on them. i dont care about the man they were made for but how they came about or the goal. thats why when i saw they made a sport in 3 single coils i thought wow there is my chance to get a fender but the way i know i will like it and thats from ebmm. now if i won the lottery maybe i could have one made with a quilt top but for now i will keep looking and jimi helped with that site.
