Hello Forum,
Just bought a Axis Sport in Sunburst & Swamp Ash body, Man this guitar sounds great & is versatile in sound!! I've made a few blues Jams with it & it is blowin some TONE with those Strats!!! Just wanted to hear some feedback on anyone with an Axis Sport, & differences in other models Axis, Super Sport etc.

Hey Rob,

Welcome to that most priveledged and fortunate of clubs; you are obviously a musician of impecable taste, grace, intellect and style. :D

I have a few Axes (plural of Axis) - you can click the pic to go to my site and read all about 'em.

Know you're in good company - other Axis players include Vinnie Moore, Neil Zaza and Kim Mitchell! ;)

Greetings Rob....welcome to the Sportin' club! :)

I'm assuming since the body's ash you've got MM90s in yours? If so, you've indeed found one of the most awesome tone combos out there, as you've already discovered.

Oh....be forewarned....if ya haven't tried one yet, you may find that you're probably also gonna wind up a future Albert Lee owner, like several of us Sportsters. It's a natural progression, so ya might as well start savin' up those $$$'s now...I only lasted about 4 months myself! ;)

PurpleSport, if I'm not mistaken, all the Sports had Ash bodies no matter what the pickup configuration. Super Sports only have Ash on the MM90-equipped models...

Rob L, Congrats on purchasing one of the finest instruments in the world.

I have "2" Axis Sports and I love em!!! I can't speak really speak about the Axis or Super Sport since I don't own either of those types of Axes (as Jimi D pointed out).

My Axes Sports are so warm and play like a dream. I wasn't much for 2 humbuckers, I was always a Strat, 3 single coil guy, but when I got my Silver Sparkle Sport my opinion changed within the first 5 minutes.

Enjoy your new toy and know that you have something that all of those still searching for a really, really good quality guitar.

P.S. POST SOME PICTURES~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Best of luck and welcome, Glenn |B)

Silly me! Of course, as usual, you're right, Jimi....serves me right for posting when fatigued and half-witted from lack of sleep (as opposed to being a halfwit to begin with!).... ;)

I'll stand by the rest of what I wrote, tho!

(Anyone wanna take bets on how long Rob'll last until he gets a second Axis or AL? <hee hee!> :p)
