Guys the Axis SSS is a real killer guitar

I can only recommand Robelinda to try one.

I got one recently and it's really a mix of Strat ond Tele just better. I love it

Was unable to get it on the Silo Spec SSS for some reason (the neck I guess) this one is a keeper for sure.

My band mate now wants me to bring to reahshall and concert so he can use it a bit ah ah ah (I have already converted him to the Luke)

ANyway those are rare guitars so if you can get one do it I'm trully conviced those will be vintage pcs in few years from now.

Royal has had that guitar for a long time. I would bet that someone could get a really good deal on it.

Actually, BP though I have sometimes disagree with you , I must admit I love this pickguard.

so thank you for producing such great guitars, hat off to all at EBMM and especially to you and your family for your contribution to Rock n Roll History

Royal has a ton of NOS. I bought my Axis Sport MM90 there- it'd been sitting untouched for years.

I played a few of the Axis Sports they had in the Brooklyn shop- lots of cool stuff. Unfortunately they want a lot of $$$ for them. If they'd lowered the prices I would have bought an SSS as well. (Still would.)

that pickguard is how they originally came....I know I drew it and the customers hated it

Not all of us....I think it looks really good and have been looking for a lefty one for years. Wish EBMM still made the Axis Sport, it's a beautifully simple design, but I hadn't really discovered the brand properly then.

I dug the sound and looks of the Sport HSS a lot, including the pickguard, but the Axis neck didn't appeal to me as much as the Silo Special neck. But I do miss it. A sweet featherweight.

Slingy, that's really nice man and the first Axis Sport I've ever see with a PG. I wonder if it came stock, never seen an MM90 model with one before.

The more I look at it, it looks like it was added afterward and not stock. :(

Get the serial number and check with CS.

Interesting, I don't remember seeing another MM90 Sport with the pickguard. This probably puts it slap bang in the middle of the 'transition' period in '98. This was when the MM90's were introduced and the pickguard model sports were phased out. It was also when the HSS and SSS were discontinued.

What's going on behind the nut? Looks like a string retainer. That's not an original.

Yah that's what I thought it was, but it's hard to tell from that picture.

But Sterling, I don't ever remember seeing a MM90 Axis Sport with a pick guard, were they offered this way? I've seen SSS, HH and HSS, but never MM90's.
