Fogman,

Just got done rocking the house with this thing. You got to go try it. Blows me away everytime I turn it on. The more I play it the more I like it. Just awesome.

I just played my homebuilt Tele through it and man what tone. I going to get the MM90 now.

Fogman,

If you're looking at possibly wanting to save a few bucks and still shop in Canada and not deal with all the customs hassles. Check out axemusic.com. They have a good selection of H&K Switchblade and I believe that they are all in stock. They are based out of Edmonton with another store in Calgary, but I've made some over the phone purchases with them before over the past several months and they've been most helpful. Delivery was real quick. They advertise free delivery on orders over $199 cancuck bucks...not certain if it includes amps.

It's funny you should say this. Scott (lumberjack) sent me a PM with the same info. Axe is about $150-200 cheaper than the local dealers.

This is so nice to hear. I'm actually getting quite excited about this amp. I just got to try one to make sure. I'm pretty certain I won't be disappointed. :)

Please don't mention our PM's. It contains ultra secretive Canadian information.:D:D:D:p

I was wondering about what Morsecode mentioned, as well, about free shipping with purchases over $199CDN. With the weight of the amp, they might be charging something for shipping. Hopefully they don't, cause that'll be a bonus for you.:D

Foggy I actually checked their website for shipping info while typing this. Here's the link. Click the little free shipping logo above the purolator line for more info. It's says oversized and overweight packages will be charged for shipping. Hopefully the amp doesn't fall into those catagories.

Shipping to British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec all Canada Vancouver Toronto Montreal

Fogman,

Just picked up the guitar player with Alex Lifeson on the cover. He talks about his rig. He says he uses two of his signature TriAmps as well as two Switchblades for his peripheral sounds live. He also talks a little about using the switchblade as well as other amps for the current Rush recordings.

Dont know if you are much of a Rush fan, but Alex is an awesome player. I havent seen them in years, but one of my first concerts was the tour for 2112.

Thought you might find this interesting.

Take care,

Kevin

I can't go to the closest GC for another week or two. If you beat me to it Foggy, please post your review, I'm looking forward to it.

Kevin

I actually have that issue and have read it. There's also an article in the Guitar One magazine as well.
I'm not a huge Rush fan, but do enjoy their music from time to time. I do appreciate Alex's contribution to the music world. Some good riffs and licks coming from that boy!
A friend of mine saw them in concert last week and said they were incredible!!!
I'm sorry now that I missed the show.

If I do beat you to it (which I doubt - I'm very busy these days) then I will post a review!

H&K!

I'm a big Hughes & Kettner guy. My main amp is a 50W 1x12 Duotone combo. It's part of why I just bought my first EBMM. I was playing a friend's Axis through this amp and it sounded incredible! After a couple of jam sessions with the Axis, I ended up ordering an Axis Super Sport today.

I also have a ZenAmp which is used for practice and a TriAmp Mk II which is complete overkill right now. It's a very versatile amp that goes from warm and clean to brutal overdrive.

I can't wait to get my Axis SS and run 'em through my amps!

Nice collection of amps you have!!!

What colour Axis did you order???
