So I'm slowly stashing away some funds to purchase an Axis Super Sport after having to sell my only and favorite EBMM last year to pay an unforeseen medical bill. I'm torn between the original solidbody Axis Super Sport (or Sport), and the ASS Semi-hollow.
For those of you who have owned/played both, is there any significant or noticeable tonal difference between the two? I primarily play jazz, fusion, 90's rock, etc., so I already know the ASS would be a perfect fit -- I just wonder what I might be missing/gaining if I go solid vs. semi-hollow.
