WOW!!! This guitar has some magic inside, definitely!
Finally, I had the opportunity to play it with the band (I use a "small" Mooer GE250 for rehearsals!) and now I fully understand why:
1) I prefer the Axis Super Sport version to the classic Axis/EVH
2) I wanted the original wiring restored
Custom DiMarzio pickups are wonderful and positions 2 and 4 of the switch give you THOSE Strat sounds (bridge+middle, middle+neck) but with more body, bottom end, high end and anything the best Strat with the best pickups still misses.
I don't know who designed the Super Sport, but...THANK YOU A LOT, WHOEVER YOU ARE!
This guitar is versatile and you can play anything with it, literally.
Tonight I passed from Toto to Peter Gabriel to Faith No More with a flick of the switch!
