Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum.
Played an used Axis Super Sport with P-90 pick-ups yesterday at the local guitar center.
Never played a Music Man guitar before and I'm hooked now! :D
The fantastic sound, the neck, like made for my hand! You know...

The Super Sport I played must be an older one (the guy at the shop couln't tell me how old),
but it doesn't has the compensated nut.

Had there been any other changes during the years of production? (Beside of the nut.)
Is the neck shape and radius still the same on newer models?
Still the same P-90 pick-ups?
Would you recommend to look for newer models (used)? Or dosn't that matter much?

Thank you for any advice.
Jon

Texas Finally!
Pretty much all is the same, unless it is a special run/limited edition but again mostly cosmetic or neck finish, radiius pups etc the same. Axis Super Sport is very easy and comfortable to play.

Find one you like new or used, its a buyers market so search and should be able to find a deal!

Welcome to the forum, Jon. I've owned probably a dozen ebmms, and new or old, I've loved every one. No matter which you choose, I'm sure it will satisfy you.
