Hi all im new to this forum but will be popping in from time to time from now on cos i have just got a used Axis super sport with trem trans gold and original case. should be with me next week. been looking out for one of these for a couple of years.
Q would i be able to find out the age of the guitar by the ser no?

Ok, sorry if i have started a European conflict whoops, and Andy will at least remain Scots till he wins a major and is then taken on as a true Brit, Lol.
I noticed that the maple top on my guitar is different to the new ones, the top on mine is more like tiger strips, does this make it an early 2000 late 1990s?
I use a strat and les Paul for gigs, i am hoping the axis ss will cover both guitar tones and more, i am so looking forward to this guitar.

Waiting is pain but i am so looking forward to it.
can any one put an approx age to it from the photos? i understand the Axis ss came out in the late 1990s, and is it a mm90 wotever that means?

My Ass turned up today, took it to practise tonight and all i can say is my les paul and strat will be rested for a while, love it nice dirt from the humbucks for lead and lovely rhythm from the single coils, trem arm is wicked, body and neck just fits me a treat. im converted.
